JeKaren Olaoya (she/her) is a life-long UU, Georgia native, poet, writer, mixed-media artist, and Certified Death and Grief Doula. She serves the UUA Board of Trustees while attending Starr King School for the Ministry in the Master of Divinity Chaplaincy program and is an Associate with LM Consulting providing communications consulting and digital strategy to nonprofits.
JeKaren earned her Bachelors in Art and Sociology with a focus on Digital Imagery and Social Change at Mercer University and Masters in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from Arizona State University with a focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. As an earth-based African spiritualities practitioner with foundation in Christianity, she draws from the guidance of her ancestors for spiritual care. She lives in Winter Park, FL with her dog, schnauzer-mix, Maysee Moon.
