Rev. Erin J. Walter (she/her/hers) serves as the Minister & Executive Director for the Texas Unitarian Universalist Justice Ministry, a coach for Beloved Conversations, and in other diverse ways through her spiritual practices of music and dance. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rev. Erin has led worship more than 100 times, virtually, for congregations from Florida to Canada, including the Church of the Larger Fellowship.
Winner of the 2017 Sermon Award from the UU Women’s Federation and a former journalist and YMCA director/chaplain, Rev. Erin is the singer/songwriter/bassist for band Parker Woodland and bassist for queer/trans rock band Butch County. She teaches community Zumba over Zoom, for participants of diverse ages and abilities around the world. Erin is an Affiliated Community Minister of Wildflower (Unitarian Universalist) Church in Austin and serves on the advisory board of the SIMS Foundation, for music industry mental health, and the board of Texas Impact, an interfaith organization of “people of faith working for justice.”
