Position Purpose
To advance the global outreach of the CLF’s ministry. This will involve crafting and implementing a cohesive communications strategy that aligns with our core values and objectives. The Communications Specialist will be instrumental in shaping our messaging and brand, ensuring consistency and clarity across all platforms for both internal and external audiences.

Essential Functions
- Development and Oversight of Social Media Strategy: Craft engaging content and manage our presence across various social media platforms, ensuring brand consistency and audience engagement.
- Online Campaign Management and Execution: Lead the planning, development, and implementation of innovative online campaigns to enhance our outreach and impact.
- Develop and manage campaign plan in collaboration team
- Design and produce compelling graphics and other creative content that resonates with our audience and supports our communication goals.
- Oversee the production and formatting of a weekly email newsletter, incorporating contributions from various team members.
- Event Coordination and Promotion: Manage event listings on calendars, social media platforms, and Zoom Rooms, ensuring accurate and timely promotion of our events.
- Internal Communication Management: Manage internal communication channels between staff, ensuring effective and efficient internal communication within the organization.
- Meeting Leadership & Facilitation: Facilitate weekly communication meetings to align team efforts, discuss strategies, and review ongoing projects.
- Weekly Podcast Management: Oversee the scheduling of guests and hosts, management of contractors, and post-production needs for the CLF’s weekly podcast.

Skills/Knowledge
- Expertise in Social Media Management: Proficient in using social media platforms (such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn) for brand promotion and audience engagement.
- Strong Writing and Editing Skills: Ability to produce clear, compelling, and grammatically correct content across various formats, including social media posts, articles, and newsletters.
- Graphic Design and Visual Communication: Knowledge of design principles and proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva) for creating visually appealing content.
- Digital Marketing and SEO: Understanding of digital marketing strategies, including SEO best practices and Google Analytics, to enhance online visibility and engagement.
- Campaign and Project Management: Skills in planning, executing, and monitoring communication campaigns and projects, ensuring they meet deadlines and objectives.
- Analytical Abilities: Competency in analyzing communication strategies’ effectiveness, using data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
- Email Marketing Tools: Familiarity with email marketing platforms (like MailChimp or Constant Contact) for creating, sending, and analyzing email campaigns.
- Event Coordination: Experience in online and in person event planning and management, including coordination of logistics and promotion through various channels.
- Interpersonal and Networking Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
- CRM: Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM) for managing communications with members, friends, and donors.
- Crisis Communication: Knowledge of crisis communication strategies to maintain or restore the organization’s image during challenging times.
- Adaptability to Technology: Ability to quickly adapt to new communication technologies and platforms.
Physical Requirements

Experience
- Experience in communications or related field: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a communications, public relations, or marketing role.
- Experience in planning and implementing projects. Bonus for communications/social media projects.
- Experience designing and creating visual, written and multimedia communications content.
- Experience with communications technology including social media tools, email systems, CRMs.
- Experience with event coordination: Prior involvement in organizing and promoting events.
Education
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
