In this time of pandemic and turmoil, there is a lot we don’t know. There is also a lot we do know&emdash;we know that Unitarian Universalism has a vital role to play in our mutual liberation. We know that incarcerated Unitarian Universalists are finding us in record numbers because we have a truth to share which they need to hear. We know that we are all fearfully and wonderfully made to fulfill the promises of our ancestors. And we know that you are loved and worthy, just as you are.
With a solid 75-year history of ministry, the CLF is now uniquely positioned to fulfill its promise of spreading the good news of Unitarian Universalism to all who need it no matter their location. We found a CLF that is ready to Show Up and Love Relentlessly.
And let’s be clear: “the CLF” is you. You are the church. It is your congregation. It is your sacred and joyous stewardship of this community that offers ministry to over 1,400 incarcerated Unitarian Universalists and another 1,300 free-world members worldwide. The future of the CLF requires your participation in our community. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.
We are asking all of our members and friends to help us continue our ministry by making a matched contribution during this holiday season of giving.
People are flocking to our programs. From participation in the chat during Sunday Worship, to Facebook groups, to Worthy Now Prison Ministry pen-pals, everyone is looking to see where they can plug into the CLF community. We hope you will get involved in our holiday connection events and become a supporter of our year-end campaign.
