On March 21, the vernal equinox, the light and dark are in balance. We also seek balance in our lives. What does that seeking mean? How balance static or dynamic? What is it we’re really looking for when we say we long for balance? How can we achieve it and is it something to be achieved at all?
Especially for religious leaders, a life of balance can be elusive. You may find yourself frustrated by a seeming lack of time, a life full of too many felt obligations, or a deep spiritual weariness. “In Search of Balance” is a day to reflect on the balance we yearn for and to seek for it in our own deepest hearts. Everyone is welcome—those of any faith or none.
“In Search of Balance” is a virtual retreat, a day of rest and renewal. Your time of retreat will be punctuated by four online meetings where we will share intentions, guided meditation, reflections, storytelling, and time together for your rejuvenation. Please join me as we observe the equinox, the time of balance, a time for seeking and finding.
