Join the CLF for an Introduction to the Prison-Industrial Complex 101. This four-session course offers an introduction to the history of mass incarceration and the issues surrounding the modern prison-industrial complex.

Topics will include:

• the connections between various players in the prison system
• gender, race, class and sexuality biases in the prison system
• the history and development of the PIC
• the connections between prisons, systems, communities, and individuals
• creative thinking about a world without prisons and the possibilities for each of us to contribute to potentially bringing such a world into being.
