A start-up called Happy will offer emotional support from everyday people on demand. See www.happytheapp.online. They are trying to address the emerging epidemics of loneliness and stress, which affect one-third of the population and are more deadly than diabetes, in an affordable, healthy, community-oriented way. Happy is currently recruiting ‘happiness givers’: compassionate listeners who want to earn meaningful income making other people happy. Anyone who thinks they fit that description can arrange an interview with Happy, and the top 100 candidates will become Happy’s foundational group of happiness givers.

The VUU is our weekly live online talkshow specifically geared for Unitarian Universalists. A new episode is broadcast Thursdays at 11 am Eastern (USA) on YouTube or Google+. We invite a wide variety of guests to discuss religion, spirituality, Unitarian Universalism, multi-faith issues, social justice, and whatever else seems interesting!
